Terms & Conditions
MB Joinery Design Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all quotations, contracts, and work undertaken by [Your Company Name] ("the Company") for the supply and installation of joinery services.
1. Quotations
1.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
1.2 Quotations are based on the information available at the time of inspection and may be subject to amendment should unforeseen circumstances arise.
1.3 Acceptance of a quotation constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Materials
2.1 The full cost of all materials must be paid in advance before any materials are ordered or work commences.
2.2 Materials remain the property of the Company until payment has been received in full.
2.3 Any delays caused by suppliers, manufacturers, or circumstances beyond our control may affect project timescales.
3. Labour Payments
3.1 For labour-only costs, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the labour value is required to secure a booking and confirm the project start date.
3.2 The remaining labour balance is due immediately upon completion of the work.
3.3 The Company reserves the right to suspend or withhold completion of works until outstanding balances are settled.
4. Additional Works and Variations
4.1 Any additional work requested by the customer that falls outside the original quotation will be treated as a variation.
4.2 No additional work will be undertaken without prior consultation and agreement with the customer regarding the scope and any associated costs.
4.3 Variations may result in additional charges and may affect project completion times.
5. Completion and Final Payment
5.1 The project will be deemed complete when the agreed works have been finished to a reasonable professional standard.
5.2 Any minor defects or snagging items that do not prevent the intended use of the installation shall not delay final payment.
5.3 Final payment is due on the day of completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. Customer Responsibilities
6.1 The customer shall provide reasonable access to the property and working area throughout the project.
6.2 The customer is responsible for ensuring that the work area is clear of personal belongings and obstacles before work begins.
6.3 The customer shall disclose any known issues that may affect the work, including hidden services, structural concerns, or property restrictions.
7. Delays
7.1 The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by adverse weather conditions, supplier issues, acts of nature, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
7.2 Any revised completion dates provided by the Company are estimates only.
8. Warranty
8.1 Workmanship is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the date of completion, subject to normal use and maintenance.
8.2 The warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear.

Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or third parties.

Natural movement, shrinkage, or expansion of timber and other natural materials.

Damage caused by extreme weather conditions.
9. Cancellation
9.1 If the customer cancels the project after materials have been ordered, the customer shall be responsible for the full cost of those materials.
9.2 The 30% labour deposit is non-refundable once a booking date has been reserved.
10. Liability
10.1 The Company's liability shall be limited to the value of the contract.
10.2 The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial losses arising from delays or defects beyond its reasonable control.
11. Acceptance
Payment of the deposit and/or commencement of work by the Company shall constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the customer.
